Repentance and Fresh Forgiveness

It's been a long time since I've posted--too long. I've missed you.

Was reading My Utmost devotional this morning by Oswald Chambers.

He said this: "The old Puritans used to pray for “the gift of tears.” If you ever cease to understand the value of repentance, you allow yourself to remain in sin. Examine yourself to see if you have forgotten how to be truly repentant."

That is what I am praying for this morning--a fresh touch from God's precious Holy Spirit--that I would see myself and my sin as God sees it--that I would be truly repentant and experience the fresh, clear conscience and holiness that comes from a pure heart--His holiness, not mine.

Praying your Sabbath is full of Godly worship, repentance and fresh forgiveness.

Praise God we have a Savior who understands the depths of our infirmities and provided a rescue for us.

I want to always walk with Christ daily but I especially want God to prepare my heart during this Advent season--the season of longing, hoping, experiencing and worshiping.

 What a Savior. Oh, Hallelujah!
