I Will Sing

Sing, O Daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice, be in high spirits and glory with all
your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem.
Zephaniah 3:14

My heart has been very heavy lately because of some situations beyond my control.
But today when I read some scripture from Zephaniah 3 on my friend's blog (Susy at
The Feathered Nest),
It was just what my heart needed.

So I will put a flower in my hair and sing of His great love for me and mine.
I will choose to be in high spirits and glory with all my heart for
He is faithful to His own.
He cares for you my friend.

Enjoy that love today.

Precious Memories

Cousins relaxing on the hammock together.
Katelyn and Noelle

Sisters and cousins--Noelle, Ashton and Kennedy getting anxious for dark and fireworks.

and Noelle

Kennedy and Ashton

Our neighbor put on an incredible fireworks display--this picture does not begin to do it justice--

On the way to movie--Despicable Me 2--there were nine of us--
It was a really cute movie--so wonderful when Hollywood makes a movie
that the whole family can see together.

pool time--Noelle's grandfather caught this action shot of her coming down the slide at our neighborhood pool--

Just some portrait shots--Ashton

Baby James

and Kennedy--

We enjoyed smoked beef tenderloin, racks of ribs, and ham during the long weekend-
fresh tomatoes and corn, hot rolls and butter,
baked potatoes and fresh green beans,
creamed green peas and black-eyed peas,
potato salad, an asian crunchy salad as well as regular salad,
Karo nut pie, apple pie and birthday cake and ice cream
for Ashton, Caroline and Boompa--

We ate too much!

We also enjoyed
card games,
funny family memories,
sitting outside most of the day on the 4th, the weather was incredible--
very unusual for Arkansas--

Thank you Lord for precious times together to makes memories that will enhance our future times together.
Our hearts are so grateful for all of your blessings to our family.
One of our son's former basketball players suffered a severe neck injury in a diving accident this weekend.  Would you please lift the Bruning family to God in prayer?
Thank you sweet prayer warriors.

They Have My Heart!

This is a picture of the some of the guys at Renewal Ranch yesterday after class.

They are preparing to celebrate a wonderful independence--what a story of freedom they have to tell on this July 4th.  Thank you, Lord, for true freedom that only comes from knowing you.

Yes, I am thankful for my wonderful country also--with all its flaws, it is still my blessed home sweet home and I wouldn't trade it for any other country on the planet.

Have a safe and wonderful one, won't you?

Love,
Dianne

Daydream Believer

I have always been a dreamer--day dreamer that is!

Type A personalities would never understand this--I don't think.

But, well, those of us who do it, can't imagine life without the dreams.

I dream of little things, big things, God-sized dreams, foolish dreams, realistic dreams,

dreams about the future, dreams about the here and now,

dreams about yesterday and dreams about eternity.

Have you ever thought of this?

Those of us who have accepted Jesus as our Savior are already living in eternity.

We are smack dab in the middle of eternity.

If eternity has a middle.

Since it has no beginning and no ending, it probably doesn't have a middle.

So just strike that statement.

I read this the other day (that we are already living in eternity) and was taken aback
at first but the more I thought about it,

the more I realized, it really is true--

We have already passed from death to life--eternal life.

And what better way to live our dreams, our eternal life dreams than with music.

Humming a little song today.

Hope you are too.

God is so smart.

He made everything so absolutely wonderful!

And don't you just love that music is written in an international language--

So everyone from every tribe and tongue can sit down and play together.

That really blows my mind.

I really don't want to offend anyone--

If you are a Type A personality and daydream,

would you share that?

"I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life."--Jesus
