'The purity which God demands is impossible unless I can be remade within, and that is what Jesus has undertaken to do by His Redemption."--Oswald Chambers
I love the writings of Oswald Chambers. It seems that each day his devotionals speak to a direct need in my life.
When I "blow it" as a Christian and totally mess up, I can get discouraged with myself. After all, I have been a Christian many, many years and ought to have a grip on how a Christian behaves.
But that is not how it works--it is not anything I do but how much I depend on God through His Holy Spirit to direct my life.
I must daily let Him take his rightful place upon the throne of my life--yes, that means dying daily to myself and not only daily--it is a moment by moment adventure with the dynamic force of God that empowers us to be all that we want to be, more than we ever thought we could be, and prepared to stand before a Holy and Righteous God.
"Who can stand in the eternal light of God and have nothing for Him to rebuke? Only the Son of God, and Jesus Christ claims that through His redemption He can place within anyone His own nature and make that person as pure and as simple as a child."

When God looks upon me,
I want Him to see Jesus and Jesus alone.
