SOME SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF EASTER!

And they are off!!!!!!!!!!!!!--That is Kennedy in the middle of the picture.

Kennedy finds her first egg!

Kennedy!

This is Ashton on the left.

And Ashton on the left!

Kennedy

Sisters, Caroline and Kennedy, getting ready to present the gospel of salvation with the beaded bracelets.

This is one of the stations where the kids from church were making the beaded bracelets with the children that demonstrated what Christ did for us on the cross.

One of the explanation pages.

Supplies for the bracelets that demonstrate by colors what Christ did for us and how we receive his gift.

Making a bracelet and showing a precious girl how she can receive this gift.

I loved this bonnet.

I think Caroline started messing with her Uncle Chris and ended up getting the worst end of it--no pun intended!

Three of my five main men--Michael, Larry and Chris

Cute, cute strangers! I did ask her if I could use this on my blog.

The merry-go-round!

Noelle in the middle of the merry-go-round!

Too much merry-go-round for Ashton and Boompa has to check on his girl.

Mommy, I feel sick!

Hundreds of kids and nobody found me!

Michael and Traci's church here in Little Rock had a huge Easter egg hunt. Since Traci is the director of children's ministries, this is one of her responsibilities. They hid 5.000 eggs--hard to believe. I just had to take a picure of this one lone egg that no one picked up. I never did figure that one out. It was in wide open view--just laying there OR lying there (whatever eggs do--I know what chickens do). LOL I will have to ask my master of English friend, Marianne. And that's another question I have--Is English capitalized in that sentence or not--at least I know that the correct word to use there is "capitalized"--not "capitolized."

THE COLLISION OF GOD AND SIN BY OSWALD CHAMBERS

Oswald Chambers is my absolute favorite Bible writer and commentator. He brings it to a "real" level for me and I love the Old English.

"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree." 1 Peter 2:24
The Cross of Jesus is the revelation of God's judgment on sin. Never tolerate the idea of martyrdom about the Cross of Jesus Christ. The Cross was a superb triumph in which the foundations of hell were shaken. There is nothing more certain in Time or Eternity than what Jesus Christ did on the Cross: He switched the whole of the human race back into a right relationship with God. He made Redemption the basis of human life, that is, He made a way for every son of man to get into communion with God.
The Cross did not happen to Jesus: He came on purpose for it. He is "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." The whole meaning of the Incarnation is the Cross. Beware of separating God manifest in the flesh from the Son becoming sin. The Incarnation was for the purpose of Redemption. God became incarnate for the purpose of putting away sin; not for the purpose of Self-realization. The Cross is the centre of Time and of Eternity, the answer to the enigmas of both.
The Cross is not the cross of a man but the Cross of God, and the Cross of God can never be realized in human experience. The Cross is the exhibition of the nature of God, the gateway whereby any individual of the human race can enter into union with God. When we get to the Cross, we do not go through it; we abide in the life to which the Cross is the gateway.
The centre of salvation is the Cross of Jesus, and the reason it is so easy to obtain salvation is because it cost God so much. The Cross is the point where God and sinful man merge with a crash and the way to life is opened - but the crash is on the heart of God.

CAROLINE PLAYS AT UALR!

UALR vs. Murray State

The incredible scoreboard at Jack Stephens arena--as wide as the court itself!

Precious Kennedy--love, love, love those freckles!

Michael's AAU girls looking at the UALR mascot--the mighty Trojan!

Here he is!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael talks to his girls right before they take the court at half-time.

Caroline is on the far left.

Caroline gets the rebound and starts to dribble downcourt.

Gettin' set to play some defense.

Caroline is #23.

We attended the Women's National Invitational Tournament at UALR last night in the Jack Stephens Center. The building is beautiful and a far cry from the old gym we played in when we were there in the early 1960's. I was a cheerleader in 1965 for the then Little Rock University Trojans.

UALR lost to Murray State 67-65, a heartbreaker.

Caroline's AAU team was asked to provide a demonstration of young girls' present-day basketball. She is #23 so you'll notice that I got quite a few pictures of her.
If UALR won, Kennedy's team would have gotten to play at half-time on Sunday night, the 22nd, of that game. As soon as the game was over and Caroline saw that UALR lost, she went straight and hugged Kennedy's neck because she knew Kennedy was going to be so disappointed. Caroline has a big heart and is very empathetic.

WHAT A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! 2009 STATE BB CHAMPS!

2008-2009 Sophomore Basketball Picture

This says it all!

Kendall made 5/6 free throws and a layup in the last 2:20 minutes of the game.

Team holding state champ trophy!

Jeff and Chris Green celebrate a wonderful year!

We had an awesome crowd with over 4,000 in attendance.

Kendall, I am posting these pics for you. You have no idea how fast the years will pass and how quickly these will become a faint memory on the horizon of your mind. I hope that this will play a small part in helping you to remember this wonderful year of your life. I am so proud of you and you are a winner, but for many more reasons than on the basketball court. You have grown into an awesome young man and it is my prayer that you will always put God first in your life--yes, even above basketball LOL. I love you with all my heart.
