CAROLINE PLAYS AT UALR!

UALR vs. Murray State

The incredible scoreboard at Jack Stephens arena--as wide as the court itself!

Precious Kennedy--love, love, love those freckles!

Michael's AAU girls looking at the UALR mascot--the mighty Trojan!

Here he is!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael talks to his girls right before they take the court at half-time.

Caroline is on the far left.

Caroline gets the rebound and starts to dribble downcourt.

Gettin' set to play some defense.

Caroline is #23.

We attended the Women's National Invitational Tournament at UALR last night in the Jack Stephens Center. The building is beautiful and a far cry from the old gym we played in when we were there in the early 1960's. I was a cheerleader in 1965 for the then Little Rock University Trojans.

UALR lost to Murray State 67-65, a heartbreaker.

Caroline's AAU team was asked to provide a demonstration of young girls' present-day basketball. She is #23 so you'll notice that I got quite a few pictures of her.
If UALR won, Kennedy's team would have gotten to play at half-time on Sunday night, the 22nd, of that game. As soon as the game was over and Caroline saw that UALR lost, she went straight and hugged Kennedy's neck because she knew Kennedy was going to be so disappointed. Caroline has a big heart and is very empathetic.

WHAT A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! 2009 STATE BB CHAMPS!

2008-2009 Sophomore Basketball Picture

Kendall made 5/6 free throws and a layup in the last 2:20 minutes of the game.

Team holding state champ trophy!

Jeff and Chris Green celebrate a wonderful year!

We had an awesome crowd with over 4,000 in attendance.

Kendall, I am posting these pics for you. You have no idea how fast the years will pass and how quickly these will become a faint memory on the horizon of your mind. I hope that this will play a small part in helping you to remember this wonderful year of your life. I am so proud of you and you are a winner, but for many more reasons than on the basketball court. You have grown into an awesome young man and it is my prayer that you will always put God first in your life--yes, even above basketball LOL. I love you with all my heart.

KENDALL IS GOING TO STATE FINALS!!!!!!!!!

Kendall is on the far right of the front row.

Arkansas Baptist won Friday night against Lafayette County High School and Saturday night against Earle High School to earn a berth in the state final championship game Thursday at Hot Springs' Summit Arena.

We were behind by 6 points at the start of the 4th quarter but outscored them by 10 points to take the win. Kendall had 1 three pointer and played awesome defense. The highlight of his defense was when a Bulldog was going in for a lay up on a steal and Kendall whizzed downcourt at incredible speed to knock the ball from his hands and deter the layup. (The picture above is from another game) The crowd went crazy. The crowd was an integral part of the victory on Friday and Saturday nights.

CHRIS IS LICENSED TO PREACH!

Chris, Dree and Larry

Chris and Larry

Chris and me. It seems that every important picture I've ever had made, my eyes were swollen shut from crying. Yes, I was overcome with emotion during his sweet sermon.

Chris, Dree, and Linda, Dree's mom. I motioned to Kent to come over but somehow he never got to where we were taking pictures.

Chris, Dree, Ashton and Noelle

Chris and Andy--Andy is the pastor of Riverview Baptist Church in Bixby, OK, the church that licensed Chris to preach.

This past Sunday night, Chris preached at Riverview Baptist Church in Bixby, Oklahoma. The church has agreed to license Chris to preach in the Southern Baptist denomination.

Larry and I drove over on Sunday, March 2, and came home on Tuesday, March 4. We had a great time with the kids and grandkids--and went to Ricardos- Wow! it is just the best restaurant ever!!

I will post pictures as soon as I get time to get my camera out of the suitcase and upload them. This time of year is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
