SUNDAY SING-A-LONG! GOD BLESS AMERICA, a rhapsody in red, white, and blue!

I just got through watching the Capitol fireworks show on television. One of the songs was an incredible rendition of Rhapsody in Blue. It reminded me of a game we played many, many years ago. It was quite fun and it went like this. Each team consisted of 3 or 4 people. They were assigned a name of a song and had to use props to give clues as to the name of their song.

One such group was assigned "Rhapsody in Blue." They somehow produced a blue sheet or some such big piece of blue cloth, wrapped the girl member of the group with it and she was holding a sign that said her name was "Sodi." Get it? wrap Sodi in blue-- but you could make a 4th of July game out of it and they would havc to add something patriotic to the name of the song--they could have wrapped Sodi in a flag and represented the song "Rhapsody in red, white, and blue!"

Okay, I know this is random--just wait til tomorrow--smile!

For our Sunday sing-a-long here is GOD BLESS AMERICA.

God bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her,
And guide her,
Through the night
With the light
From above.

From the mountains,
To the prairies,
To the oceans,
White with foam,
God bless America,
My Home Sweet Home.
