Hubby took me to Hot Springs on Friday to take pictures of churches for the Weekend Worship feature here on my blog.  He was so patient while I took pictures of six different churches and even captured a few images of his own--several of them featured in this post actually.

We had a good time and it was a gorgeous day.  We finally have a little color here in central Arkansas.  Hot Springs is a little higher elevation so they have a little more color than we.

We swung by a pretty little camping and picnic area on the way.  Hope you enjoy these photos of the beautiful Gulpha Gorge, Hot Springs National Park, AR.

God, your handiwork never ceases to amaze me. The light coming through the trees casting shadows of varying lengths at different times of day--so genius on your part--the rocks that make the water laugh and play as it dances along carrying lyrics of your love, even the little gullies where the water is almost damned up and the leaves stack up reminds me of negligent times--times I quench your Holy Spirit and hinder His flow through me. Oh God, forgive me and help me keep the harmony of your Trinity flowing through me.

May my motives and attitudes be as clear as the waters of Gulpha Gorge so that no one has to be wary of my deeds or actions. Purify my mind and let me take all ungodly thoughts captive to the Lordship of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Grant that I walk in the light of your wisdom and grace reflecting love to all around me. Thank you for the privilege and responsibility of a new week. I pray that it will be a quiet one, full of good deeds done only because of my love for You, not for any gain from eyes looking on--ministering in Jesus' Name and for His glory only.

It is my sincere and earnest prayer that You draw my family and me closer to you, that we will seek a deeper and more sincere relationship with You--desiring to know You above all, seeking Your Person, not what You can do for us, as one would seek buried treasure.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34

 Loving you,

2010-the Year of Longings

I long to know Him in a more intimate way.
